Keyboarding- Students will be working on typing time software reviewing home row keys and new keys. We will again do a 5 minute time writing and practice 1 minute one this week. Students are encouraged to practice typing. This week I am collecting lessons 10-14 both in the book and in typing time for grades. Be ready for a bell ringer. The lowest bell ringer for the marking period will be dropped. Lesson 10-14 in the software and lessons will be due on November 28th students are encouraged as always to use Mondays after school as a make day.

PSSA SCHEDULE THIS WEEK- end of marking period.

DOCUMENT PROCESSING- We will review the construction and elements of a business letter. Students will practice this technique by preparing a number of letters. Next week they will be tested on this.

COMPUTER APPLICATIONS - Review of software Paint and analyze how it can be used with other software. Introduction of Microsoft Access Data Base software. Students will bring in a baby picture to scan. Students will learn the techniques of scanning.
ADVANCED COMPUTER APPLICATIONS –Students will be introduced to Adobe Photo shop and will work on tutorials. Students will bring in a picture to be scanned. Students will learn the techniques of scanning.

ADVANCED COMPUTER APPLICATIONS TWO- Todd will introduce call outs as a technique of word to Document Processing Students. He will demonstrate using the smartboard. He will continue documents in publisher.

Welcome Back & Great Game Spartans!!!!!!!!!!!!

This will be a four day week so I will be seeing Doc Processing two times each this week....

We usually will not have homework but students are always welcome to practice the letters we are on or take a remedial purple sheet out of my room.

Computer Applications periods 1 & 4

Computer Ethic 5x5 due on Tuesday. Students will discuss these papers on Tues & Wed.
Test on terms on Wednesday, Word commands are reviewed this week thru activities 1-5.

Advanced Computer Applications period 4

Students will bring in newspaper articles which they will summarize as a 5 x 5.

Students will make their own newspaper by utilizing and reviewing columns, tabs and margin. They will read the other articles per each students to see who creates the best paper and how different the same information can look. Students will continue reviewing word concepts by utilizing a number of jobs.

Document Processing

Students will return papers, review typing positions and complete lesson 1 &2. Students will all update their blog files, learn to make files, folders and clean up their h drives.

Computer Applications- We will work on WIKI spaces and seniors will work on their individual newspaper articles on the speakers as homework this weekend and will also review their stock progress at home. Underclassmen will come up with questions for Friday’s speakers and those selected will act as reporters, journalists and photographers for the newspaper.

Advanced Computer Applications- They will not have homework this week but will be brainstorming about our Wiki pages bringing in ideas and thoughts of further utilization with them.
